The Kwik Pack Lite Tent is a unique and innovative design based on the time proven canvas wall tent. For more than a century the wall tent has been the foundation of a comfortable camp and the cornerstone of many expeditions. We have taken the basic wall tent design and enhanced it with taller sidewalls and a packable internal frame.

The heart of this tent is our new one of a kind nesting aluminum frame. All of the poles that make up the frame are identical. Leg poles, rafter poles and length poles are all completely interchangeable. We designed the tent to be 12’ by 12’ with a 6’ wall. The 6’ sidewalls taper out for extra stability in high winds and snow loads. By reworking the geometry of our current wall tent design we have come up with a frame using all 6’ long poles. Knowing that a 6’ long pole is less than ideal to pack, we went to work on designing a new pole system. When broke apart, the new pole system will invert and nest inside another pole. The finished product is an easy to pack frame with half the bulk (only 18 poles at 40” long). What a concept! The frame only weighs 50lbs and is built in the same tradition as all Kwik Kamp tent frames, with superior strength, exceptional durability and easy set up. Frame comes with frame bags.

The material used in the tent is our top of the line 10oz treated Sunforger/Marine canvas. This material is pre-shrunk and treated to be water, mildew and flame resistant. It is sewn together using our double lap felled seams (rolled and sewn double stitching) which is far superior to the chain stitch and regular double lock stitch. All tents are a true 12’ by 12’ finished size to give you all the cubic feet you pay for when buying a canvas tent. The zippered door opens clear to the ridge and features a 12” overlapping storm flap with Fastex buckles inside and out. We also give you straps with buckles to tie open each side of the door for loading and unloading gear inside the tent. The overhanging eaves of our new tent have been extended to 18” long to better protect the tapered sidewalls. They come complete with ropes and wood tensioners. The Kwik Pack Lite tent also comes with a 10” vinyl sod cloth, a 5” silicone coated fiberglass stove pipe ring with Velcro closing flap (in left door), and a large 36” x 30” screened window with zippered flap positioned in the center of the back wall. The tent comes in a canvas bag and only weighs 67 lbs.
